Job summary

FIS is seeking a Principal Solution Architect to shape and oversee the end-to-end architecture of a modern payments platform built on microservices. You will provide technical leadership across product and engineering teams, translate business strategy into architectural roadmaps, and ensure secure, resilient, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

You will own architecture across complex, multi-product payment capabilities, drive governance, and mentor architects and engineers

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms across the full development lifecycle.
Proven track record leading architecture of complex, distributed microservices-based systems across teams and org boundaries.
Deep knowledge of API design, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, service decomposition, and systems integration.
Experience with container platforms and cloud-native architecture including Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end solution architecture for payment capabilities across products and integration points.
Define current, target, and transition architectures with roadmaps guiding platform modernization.
Lead architecture governance, create decisions, interface specs, and design documents.
Mentor architects and engineers, and align priorities across product, security, operations, and client-facing teams.
