Job summary

FIS is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute to Platform and Product Engineering in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will design, implement, and deploy high-performance services and APIs across cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, modernize architectures, and own end-to-end delivery, including testing, deployment, and monitoring. A strong background in Java, Spring, Kafka, Kubernetes, and data technologies is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology or business information systems or related field.
• Typically, minimum of 10 years - Professional Experience in Coding, Designing, Developing and Analyzing Data.
• Certifications in Java, Node.js, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Spark, or similar areas.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers across Platform and Product Engineering to create technical designs, develop, test, and solve complex problems from concept to production.
• Contribute to automated build, deploy, and test processes for each solution.
• Brainstorm ideas to improve the experience for engineers and stakeholders.
• Work with diverse systems to own and solve problems end-to-end.
• Transcend frontend/backend boundaries to deliver scalable features.
