Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Lead Representative Payee Specialist to provide administrative representative payee services, ensuring funds are disbursed correctly and records kept in accordance with Social Security Administration guidelines.

This role partners with program management on client fund disbursements and coordinates with vendors to ensure accurate payments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Accounts Payable and/or bookkeeping experience
• Intermediate experience with MS Excel and MS Outlook

Responsibilities

• Processes, reviews, and supports Account Payable functions
• Distributes individuals’ funds in accordance with Social Security Administration guidelines.
• Coordinates with program management on client fund disbursements.
• Works with vendors to ensure accurate payments
• Monitors workflows for accuracy and following procedures.
• Identifies, researches, resolves/reports area of concern and refunds missing funds.
