Columbus House in New Haven, CT is seeking a full-time Representative Payee to manage the finances of clients unable to do so. You will liaise with Social Security Administration and Veterans Administration, ensuring accurate budgeting and timely payments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Familiarity with Social Security and Veterans Administration processes.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple partners and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with case managers and VA staff to assist clients with finances.
• Provide guidance on monthly budgets, timely payments, and maintain payee software/charting.
• Coordinate with SSA and VA offices on specific cases.
• Attend supervision and agency meetings as required.
• Complete SSA and VA reports promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
