Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) in Massachusetts seeks a Lead Representative Payee Specialist to manage administrative payee duties and ensure SSA guidelines compliance. You will oversee fund distribution and recordkeeping while collaborating with program teams to support clients with accuracy and care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in accounts payable or bookkeeping, and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

  • Minimum 1 year Accounts Payable and/or bookkeeping experience (required)
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Processes, reviews, and supports Account Payable functions.
  • Distributes individuals' funds in accordance with Social Security Administration guidelines.
  • Coordinates with program management on client fund disbursements.
  • Works with vendors to ensure accurate payments.
  • Monitors workflows for accuracy and following procedures.
  • Identifies, researches, resolves/reports areas of concern and refunds missing funds.

Job description

  • Pay or shift range: $30 USD to $36 USD
    The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What You'll Do:

As a Lead Representative Payee Specialist, you will provide administrative representative payee services, ensuring funds are distributed correctly, and records are properly maintained in accordance with the Social Security Administration guidelines.

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required) Associates Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year Accounts Payable and/or bookkeeping experience (required)
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
