Job summary

Edgewood Properties Inc. is seeking a Paving and Earthwork Foreman to join our Excavation Department in South Plainfield, NJ. The role leads a crew in paving operations, oversees earthwork tasks when paving is not scheduled, and ensures safety, efficiency, and quality in the field.

The position is hands-on and requires operation of paving equipment and heavy machinery. The Foreman will supervise crews, train members, and ensure equipment is maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of paving and earthwork experience.
• Experience supervising paving or excavation crews.
• Strong knowledge of paving methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee operators and laborers during paving and earthwork tasks.
• Lead paving operations including asphalt placement, grading, compaction, and finish work.
• Train and mentor crew members in paving and heavy equipment operations.
• Enforce safety rules and OSHA regulations on site.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
