Job summary

Edgewood Properties Inc. in South Plainfield, NJ, seeks an Excavation Project Manager to coordinate field operations, inspections, estimating, purchasing, and project tracking across multiple active EPX projects.

The role bridges Engineering/Land Development with field operations, ensuring schedules, inspections, and materials align with budgets and timelines. This position reports to the Director of Excavation and is based in-office in South Plainfield.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in excavation, site work, utilities, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and field operations.
• Experience coordinating inspections, utilities, and multi-project schedules.
• Experience with estimating, takeoffs, and material purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections for excavation, utilities, paving, and related field work.
• Serve as liaison between Engineering/Land Development and EPX field operations.
• Track progress on all EPX projects, ensuring schedules and milestones are met.
• Develop and coordinate weekly field schedules and prerequisites (inspections, materials, utilities, equipment).
• Assist the General Superintendent with daily field operations and admin tasks.
• Identify conflicts or delays and resolve issues with field leadership.
