Job summary

Edgewood Properties Inc. seeks an Excavation Superintendent for the Excavation Department. The position will be based at our South Plainfield, NJ office and will oversee day-to-day site improvements on multiple projects.

The role requires extensive knowledge of earthwork, utilities, and site development, with experience in multi-family and commercial/industrial construction. Strong budgeting, scheduling, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of earthwork, sanitary sewer, drainage, water, concrete, paving, utility installation.
• Experience in Multi-Family, Commercial/Industrial Construction.
• Thorough understanding of cost codes, budgets, and scheduling logic.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site improvements for multiple projects.
• Review plans, details and specifications; understand project schedule and budget.
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment; track crew production vs. budget.
• Ensure site safety and compliance; coordinate with authorities and inspectors.
