Job summary

Edgewood Properties, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer for its Excavation Department in South Plainfield, NJ. This hands-on role requires unloading materials, preparing sites, and performing a variety of physical tasks across construction projects.

You will follow Foreman directions, read plans, and assist with measurements and material handling. The job requires standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/apprenticeships a plus.
• Ability to work physically, stand, bend, lift up to 75 pounds, and climb ladders.
• Comfort working outdoors in extreme weather; able to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Unload tools and equipment; prepare site materials and set up equipment.
• Carry out physically demanding tasks at construction projects.
• Follow Foreman/Supervisor instructions and refer to construction plans.
• Take measurements and perform calculations from plans; assist subcontractors as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools and heavier equipment per instructions.
