Job summary

Edgewood Properties, Inc. is seeking a Paving & Earthwork Foreman to lead a crew in asphalt paving and essential earthwork from our South Plainfield, NJ office. The role focuses on safe, efficient field operations, quality finishes, and daily supervision of operators and laborers.

Applicants should have 5+ years in paving/earthwork, experience with heavy equipment, and strong leadership and communication skills. CDL preferred; competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of paving and earthwork experience.
• Strong ability to operate pavers and a wide variety of heavy equipment.
• Experience supervising paving or excavation crews.
• Knowledge of paving methods, materials, and best practices.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee operators and laborers during paving and earthwork tasks.
• Lead paving operations including asphalt placement, grading, compaction, and finish work; perform earthwork.
• Enforce safety rules and OSHA regulations; conduct daily safety checks and PPE compliance.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and communicate needs to management.
