Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Transport Supervisor to supervise and coordinate an efficient patient transport team, including wheelchairs and stretchers. The role ensures accurate equipment handling and maintains transportation equipment operability with regular checks and repairs as needed.

The supervisor will monitor patient flow using the EPIC Transport Command Center, generate KPI reports, and ensure safety and quality in all transport activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient transportation services; 1 year supervisor duties preferred.
• English language proficiency; CPR for Healthcare Provider, NCI training and safety device knowledge.
• Ability to move patients and equipment including postmortem transport.
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lead Transporters and Transporters to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide statistical reports on KPIs to department director.
• Verify competency of new transporters and use TeleTracking Transport Tracking System.
• Oversee transport of patients with devices safely and timely.
• Demonstrate proper techniques for handling tubes, IVs, and other equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
