Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Transport Supervisor at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. The role oversees transport staff, coordinates patient movement and equipment, and ensures safety and efficiency within the Transport Command Center environment.

Responsibilities include supervising transport teams, generating KPI reports, validating staff competency, and maintaining Teletracking systems to reflect current patient flow and equipment status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or 2-year certificate preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient transportation in a hospital or nursing home; supervisor duties preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; CPR, NCI training and safety certifications may be required.
• Ability to coordinate transport requests and ensure safe, timely patient movement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lead Transporters and Transporters to verify efficiency and effectiveness in supported areas
• Provides statistical reports to department director regarding key performance indicators and transporter performance
• Verify competency of new transporters and use the Teletracking Transport Tracking System effectively
• Supervises transport work activities in the transport of patients with appropriate devices safely and in a timely manner
