Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a compassionate Transporter to move patients, wheelchairs and stretchers between nursing units and departments. You will use proper transport devices, observe patient condition, and report changes to staff.

You may assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year in patient transport, and CPR for Healthcare Providers with NCI training.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in patient transportation services preferred.
• CPR for Healthcare Provider and NCI training required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsabilidades

• Transport patients, wheelchairs, stretchers and equipment safely.
• Observe patient condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff.
• Demonstrate proper handling of tubes, IVs and patient equipment.
• Use body mechanics to assist transfers and transports.
• Identify equipment needing repair and refer for maintenance.
