Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas' Southwestern Medical District seeks a Lead Patient Services Representative. You will promote UT Southwestern as the preferred destination for patient care, safety and service while supervising Patient Services staff and coordinating check-in operations across campus.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least six months of experience, ongoing BLS certification, and Notary Public certification within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) month experience required.
• BLS certification must be current for duration of employment within department (within 90 days) and Notary Public certification must be current for duration of employment within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors and directs Patient Services Representatives at assigned site for proper work habits and daily tasks.
• Assigns tasks to Patient Services Representatives and reviews accuracy of work completed.
• Works with Guest & Patient Services Training Supervisor to ensure staff are trained and site-specific training is provided.
• Coaches and counsels Patient Services Representatives; builds solid working relationships.
• Coordinates with Lead Patient Services Representatives to ensure consistent operations and policy enforcement.
• Solves problems and exercises judgment; seeks guidance when needed.
• Provides assistance with electronic and in-person patient check-in at Guest and Patient Services desks across campus.

Education
