Job summary

BirdiRx is seeking a Lead Patient Care Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our patient care and customer service team. This role functions as a subject matter expert, mentor, and informal team leader, guiding training, work distribution, and quality assurance to ensure accurate prescription processing and exceptional service.

You will collaborate with Patient Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacists, and leadership to resolve issues, monitor performance, and develop staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-specific software applications.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient intake and customer service operations.
• Respond to inquiries from patients, providers, pharmacies, and internal teams.
• Contact patients, physicians, and insurance companies for prescription clarification and information.
• Notify customers of order processing delays and provide status updates.
• Resolve pharmacy-related issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Distribute daily work assignments and provide guidance to coordinators and technicians.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and scheduling activities.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members; escalate issues to leadership as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and resolutions; safeguard confidentiality.
