Job summary

Birdi is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support patients, providers, and insurance partners in the specialty pharmacy journey. You will coordinate medication deliveries, manage patient communications, assist with therapy programs, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in customer service or call centers, with a commitment to patient privacy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or inbound call center experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to schedule specialty medication deliveries.
• Manage inbound/outbound calls regarding enrollment, insurance verification, and delivery coordination.
• Support therapy management programs and escalate clinical concerns to pharmacists.
• Assist patients with financial assistance pre-screening and enrollment in programs.
• Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurers to coordinate care.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy-related issues and follow up until resolved.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in systems and databases.
• Maintain timely data entry across multiple platforms and protect patient privacy.
