Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in healthcare/business.
• Two years of professional/clinical experience or healthcare with at least one year in registration.
• EMR experience required (Vision/AMPFM).
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fills in for staff and performs all Patient Access Representative duties as needed.
• Ensures accurate front-end registration and communicates with IT for system updates.
• Trains staff on registration, insurance verification, and authorization processes.
• Provides input on staff performance to Supervisor of Admitting.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, insurers, and clinical staff.
• Leads quality and productivity initiatives within the unit.
• Maintains knowledge of payer requirements for compliant billing.
