Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Senior Test Engineer to independently execute testing, commissioning, and validation across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will work with protection, SCADA integration, and relay coordination, under Lead oversight.

The role emphasizes system-level testing, documentation, and mentorship, supporting greenfield and brownfield projects up to 765kV. PowerX values excellence and a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required or preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Experience with protective relay testing and commissioning is essential.
• Familiarity with NEC and OSHA electrical safe work practices is preferred.
• Knowledge of SCADA integration and relay coordination is desired.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute relay protection testing and commissioning.
• Develop test plans and documentation reflecting full protection schemes.
• Mentor junior engineers on testing techniques and reporting.
• Coordinate switching and pre-energization readiness with Lead oversight.
• Maintain complete test records and provide clear client turnover packages.
