Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services in Colorado. You will lead field operations for complex projects, perform on-site protective relay testing, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

As a senior field representative, you will coordinate with engineers, vendors, and project managers, apply testing software, and document progress with digital tools.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing, including HV equipment and substation testing
• Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes
• Advanced relay calibration and test-set operation (Omicron/Doble)
• Strong field safety, quality, and regulatory compliance experience
• Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate with engineers/contractors
• Knowledge of field instrumentation and data/documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with technical guidance and hands-on execution
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and ensure quality, safety, and adherence to schedule
• Coordinate with engineers, scientists, and subcontractors to deliver tasks efficiently
• Mentor technicians and manage site logistics and communication with leadership
• Lead field readiness planning, safety protocols, and job hazard analyses
• Represent the senior field team in regulatory inspections and client walkthroughs
