Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in the United States is seeking a Foreman to lead a crew constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems, including energized lines. Travel to different job sites may be required, and safety is the top priority.

You will supervise pre-job safety briefings, coach crew, manage project quality and deadlines, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and work outdoors in varying conditions. Outages, storms and on-call rotations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Proficient in basic computer operations including Microsoft Word.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out‑of‑state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe procedures.
• Oversee project work, ensuring quality and deadlines.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Understand switching, grounding and voltage procedures on energized lines.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages/outages emergencies.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety PPE protocols and insulation practices
