Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a safety‑conscious Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de‑energized lines and may travel to different job sites as needed, reporting to the General Foreman.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive overhead line experience, CDL, and willingness to travel. Overtime and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Proficient in basic computer operations including Microsoft Word.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems while putting safety first.
• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe and productive work procedures.
• Oversee work to ensure quality and completion deadlines for each project.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Knowledge of switching, tagging, grounding and induced voltage on energized/de-energized lines with proper tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and at heights near energized equipment.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and other overhead line equipment.
• Respond to outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Live-line work using gloving and hot-sticks with fault locating and troubleshooting.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and insulated protective equipment
