Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC. is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor I for the 2nd shift in Buford, GA. You will lead outbound operations, coordinate with the carrier, and ensure routes depart on time while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of leadership in logistics and a Lean/CI mindset to drive continuous improvement and cost-effective delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field, 2+ years' experience OR 6 years supervisory experience.
• 2-5 years leadership in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
• Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
• Proven track record driving safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily outbound operations, including picking, packing, bill of lading verification, and route departure adherence.
• Ensure picking accuracy via standard work, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Coach, mentor, and develop hourly team members to meet safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.
• Monitor KPIs such as bill of lading handover time, shipping accuracy, productivity, and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate staffing, workload planning, training, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support customer requirements and maintain service level expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support warehouse initiatives including audits, process improvements, and operational projects.
