Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Buford, GA is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor I on the 2nd shift to oversee outbound delivery operations, coordinate with a third-party carrier, and ensure on-time departures under tight schedules.

You will lead hourly teams, coach for safety and quality, manage staffing and workflow, and monitor KPIs such as shipping accuracy and route adherence, with a starting salary between $78,000 and $100,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of distribution supervisory experience.
• 2–5 years of leadership in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience leading employee engagement initiatives, performance management and labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily outbound dedicated delivery operations, including picking, packing, bill of lading verification and route departure adherence.
• Ensure picking accuracy through standard work procedures, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Coach, mentor, and develop hourly team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.
• Monitor KPIs such as bill of lading handover time, shipping accuracy, productivity, and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate staffing, workload planning, training, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support customer requirements and maintain service level expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support warehouse and facility initiatives including audits, process improvements, and operational projects.
