Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Second Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee outbound delivery activities in a fast-paced distribution center. You will supervise picking, packing and route departure adherence, while coaching hourly staff and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity metrics are met.

You will collaborate with team leaders, drive staffing plans and Lean improvements, and coordinate with a third-party carrier to meet cut-off times and on-time departures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; 2+ years of relevant experience or 6 years of distribution supervisory experience in lieu of degree.
• 2-5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily outbound dedicated delivery operations, including picking, packing, bill of lading verification and route departure adherence.
• Ensure picking accuracy through standard work, audits and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Coach, mentor, and develop hourly team members to meet safety, quality, productivity, and attendance goals.
• Monitor KPIs such as bill of lading hand over time, shipping accuracy, productivity and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate staffing, workload planning, training and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
• Promote safety, accountability and continuous improvement through Lean methodologies.
