Job summary

You will serve as a liaison between eye clinic providers and prosthetics teams to deliver high-quality eyewear care for Veterans. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing workload, and guiding frame and lens selections while ensuring accuracy in prescriptions and patient records through CPRS.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in optical duties and coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to review prescriptions for accuracy and compliance.
• Skilled in lens measurement and frame alignment.
• Knowledge of selecting lenses and patient needs.
• REAL ID required to work with the Veterans Canteen Service.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and guides pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Oversees Optician staff and daily operations.
• Assigns duties and monitors workload for efficiency.
• Assists customers with frame selection and lens options.
• Performs eyewear measurements, fittings, and basic repairs; records in CPRS.
• Manages communications and follows up on service requests.
