The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) in Hickory, NC is seeking a Supervisory Health Tech (Opticians) to support operations in the VCS Optical Shop at the VA Medical Center.

This position coordinates optical operations and serves as liaison between VCS, eye clinic providers, and prosthetics teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office and DOS-based systems.

Formación

• One year of specialized experience in optical services or related field.
• Ability to review prescriptions for accuracy and compliance.
• Experience measuring and verifying lens placement.
• Experience selecting lens types and positioning to meet patient needs.
• Ability to identify and resolve optical issues such as frame alignment and center issues.
