Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician Team Lead to provide electrical and mechanical expertise for on-site automation systems. You will lead a team, troubleshoot PLC-based equipment, and coordinate with customer site staff to maximize uptime.

You will work with a skilled team of engineers, perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated storage and retrieval systems, and ensure safety practices and high-quality service across customer locations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3-8 years of verifiable progressive experience in maintenance repair/manufacturing environments.
• Experience in repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or English/German preferred.
• Experience with PLC-based machinery and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and provide expert knowledge in the assigned area.
• Respond to emergency calls at customer sites and coordinate with on-site teams.
• Set up, calibrate and test precision automation equipment.
• Maintain quality of service and ensure effective communication with customers.
• Provide training to customer maintenance teams as required.
• Document and log spare parts usage with customers and KNAPP CMMS.
