Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician Team Lead to provide electrical and mechanical expertise across automated storage and retrieval systems at customer sites in the United States. You will lead a maintenance team, respond to emergencies, and ensure high reliability of KNAPP’s automation equipment.

The role requires a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 3–8 years’ related work experience, with PLC troubleshooting and safety compliance as core focuses.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3–8 years of verifiable progressive maintenance experience on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or (English/German) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro‑mechanical faults and provide PLC expertise as resident expert.
• Respond to emergency calls and support on-site maintenance teams.
• Set up, calibrate and test precision automation equipment; ensure first‑time fix.
• Maintain safety and quality procedures; communicate progress to management.
