Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Observability Platform Engineering to shape the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of our enterprise observability platform. You will drive adoption of modern practices to improve service availability, developer productivity, and customer experience across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate brings a strong software engineering background, expertise in observability, SRE, and cloud technologies, and a track record of building
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership
- 3+ years managing engineering teams including hiring
- 3+ years operating a product or platform in production at scale
- Experience with multi-cloud or multi-cluster environments
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, and OpenTelemetry
- Experience defining SLIs, SLOs, and reliability programs
- Experience leading teams in Agile or Scrum
Responsibilities
- Define and execute observability platform strategy, roadmap and operating model.
- Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for observability, reliability and platform services.
- Drive enterprise adoption of OpenTelemetry and monitoring standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and visibility.
- Lead automation, cloud transformation, and AI-driven operations initiatives.
- Define and track KPIs and platform health metrics.
- Manage platform investments and vendor relationships.
