Job summary

RiverSpring Licensed Home Care Services Agency in Bronx, NY, seeks a Lead Nurse Educator to lead the Home Health Aide and CNA training program, develop curricula, and ensure ongoing compliance with NYSDOH and agency standards.

The role provides on-call support, partners with clinical leadership, mentors staff, and ensures competency across classroom, labs and field settings.

Qualifications

• Current, active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing experience in home care, long-term care, or community-based healthcare.
• Must be formally approved and recognized by the New York State Department of Health as an HHATP Educator for the Licensed Home Care Services Agency.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of NYS LHCSA regulations, HHATP standards, and aide scope of practice.
• Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining regulatory-compliant healthcare training curriculum.
• Experience conducting classroom instruction, clinical skills labs, and field-based competency validation.
• Strong understanding of Department of Health survey processes related to aide training and competency.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory updates and operationalize them within agency training programs.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to educate, mentor, and hold paraprofessional staff accountable.
• Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated clinical experience managing time-sensitive situations and providing appropriate assessment, guidance, and escalation when necessary.

Position Summary
