Job summary

RiverSpring Licensed Home Care Services Agency seeks a Lead Nurse Educator to oversee the Home Health Aide and CNAs training program. You will develop curricula, ensure compliance with NYSDOH and LHCSA standards, and provide ongoing educational support to improve aide performance.

The role requires strong leadership, classroom instruction experience, and the ability to respond to on-call needs to ensure safe, high-quality home care services.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience in home care, long-term care, or community health.
• Must be approved and recognized by NYS DOH as an HHATP Educator for LHCSA.
• Knowledge of NYS LHCSA regs and HHATP standards.
• Experience designing and maintaining regulatory-compliant training curricula.
• Experience conducting classroom instruction, labs, and competency validation.
• Strong DOH survey process understanding and ability to operationalize updates.

RiverSpring Licensed Home Care Services Agency is seeking a Workforce Development Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team!

The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

Position Summary

The Lead Nurse Educator facilitates the Home Health Aide and Certified Nurse Aid Training Program, including curriculum development and ongoing program maintenance in alignment with New York State Department of Health requirements and agency standards. This position supports competency and educational activities as needed and collaborates with clinical leadership to reinforce aide performance and compliance. The role also provides on-call support to promote safe and appropriate delivery service.

Qualifications

• Current, active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing experience in home care, long-term care, or community-based healthcare
• Must be formally approved and recognized by the New York State Department of Health as an HHATP Educator for the Licensed Home Care Services Agency
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of NYS LHCSA regulations, HHATP standards, and aide scope of practice
• Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining regulatory-compliant healthcare training curriculum
• Experience conducting classroom instruction, clinical skills labs, and field-based competency validation
• Strong understanding of Department of Health survey processes related to aide training and competency
• Demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory updates and operationalize them within agency training programs
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to educate, mentor, and hold paraprofessional staff accountable
• Excellent written documentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated clinical experience managing time-sensitive situations and providing appropriate assessment, guidance, and escalation when necessary.
