Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. (ENERCON) is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead complex piping projects for nuclear facilities across the United States.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff and ensuring safe, compliant uprates in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will perform piping stress analyses, prepare technical reports and calculations, and coordinate with Civil/Structural groups, while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Prior experience supporting power uprates strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical execution.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pipe Stress Analysis & Pipe Support Design: prepare documentation of pipe stress analysis and support design for process and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Engineering Documentation & Analysis: prepare engineering documents per industry codes, standards and regulations.
• Regulatory Compliance & Technical Standards: maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Quality Assurance & Peer Review: provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs.
• Client Relations & Interdisciplinary Collaboration: build strong client relationships and coordinate with other disciplines.
