Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead complex piping analysis and design for nuclear facilities across the United States. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliant, safe uprate implementations.

The role requires 10+ years of piping design and power uprate experience, with proficiency in AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101, and strong communication skills. Travel ~10% and US citizenship are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Prior experience supporting power uprates strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical execution.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pipe stress analysis & pipe support design documentation for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Coordinate selection, location, and support loads with Civil/Structural group; review and sign-off piping isometrics.
• Prepare engineering documents per industry codes, standards and regulations to support client needs and ensure compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and design techniques for nuclear facilities.
• Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and documents.
• Build strong relationships with clients and collaborate across disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
