Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead complex piping analyses and project execution for nuclear facilities across the United States.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with Civil/Structural teams, and ensuring safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include pipe stress analysis, pipe support design, creating complete engineering documentation, and evaluating proposed modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pipe stress analysis and support design documentation for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Perform piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems; analyze for sustained, thermal, and multiple operating cases.
• Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles and high secondary stresses in piping.
• Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics along with support types; coordinate loads with Civil/Structural group.
• Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting.
• Coordinate selection, location, and support loads with the Civil/Structural group; communicate findings to project teams.
