Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead piping design for nuclear uprate projects nationwide.

You will mentor junior staff, perform complex pipe stress analyses, and ensure safe, compliant solutions across multidisciplinary teams. The role includes preparing engineering documents, coordinating with civil/structural groups, and advancing safety and reliability at client facilities, with approximately 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Prior experience supporting power uprates strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pipe stress analysis and support design documentation for process and utility piping systems in nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
• Perform static, dynamic, sustained, thermal, and multi‑operating case analyses; consider winds, seismic, and water hammer where applicable.
• Coordinate with Civil/Structural group on supports; review isometrics for flexibility and support.
• Prepare engineering documents and calculations compliant with codes and client/ENERCON procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of industry codes and standards; perform peer reviews of designs and documents.
• Build relationships with clients and collaborate across disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
