Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead complex piping design and stress analyses for nuclear power uprate projects across the United States.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with civil/structural groups, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. This leadership role requires 10+ years in piping design and nuclear power engineering, proficiency with AutoPIPE/PIPESTRESS/ME101, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Prior experience supporting power uprates strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical execution.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pipe stress analysis & pipe support design: document stress analyses and supports for piping systems in nuclear/non-nuclear projects.
• Engineering documentation & analysis: create drawings, calculations, and analyses per codes and regulations.
• Regulatory compliance & standards: stay updated on codes and safety standards in nuclear industry.
• Quality assurance & peer review: review engineering designs and docs produced by others.
• Client relations & collaboration: build strong client relationships and coordinate with other disciplines.
