Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Power Uprate Piping Engineer to lead complex uprate projects for nuclear facilities across the United States.

You will guide analyses, design, and evaluations while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes pipe stress analysis, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, reliable piping systems for critical nuclear and non-nuclear

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years in piping design, pipe stress analysis, and nuclear power design engineering.
• Prior experience supporting power uprates strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ME101 or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical execution.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Pipe stress analysis & pipe support design: document pipe stress analysis for process and utility piping, coordinate with Civil/Structural groups, review isometrics.
• Prepare engineering documents for nuclear facilities, including drawings, calculations, and analyses.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and safety culture relevant to nuclear industry.
• Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and documentation.
• Build strong client relationships and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
