Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is expanding its Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group in the nuclear power sector. You will lead and support projects modernizing nuclear plants, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to drive completion.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, design reviews, and strong project management, with interaction across clients and vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of I&C Design Engineering experience, with at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license is preferred; strong communication skills and technical know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support small to large controls projects with focus on execution and project management.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of controls engineering issues.
• Interface with clients to ensure project success and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies for client requirements.
• Manage resources, load tasks, and develop estimates and budget plans.
• Support development of proposals and review diagrams/drawings for control solutions.
• Evaluate vendor bids and witness FAT from client perspective.
• Coordinate with vendors and client facilities during project implementation.
