Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead and support control system projects for new and aging plants, focusing on technical execution and project management.

The role involves coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams, developing procurement specs, reviewing diagrams, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of I&C design engineering experience; at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license preferred.
• Clear communication in speech and writing.
• Experience reviewing design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital control systems design – PLC, DCS, HSI, networked systems.
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specs for nuclear plants.
• Interface with clients to ensure project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resources and develop estimates for tasks and budgets.
• Support development of proposals and review diagrams/drawings.
