Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Medium Voltage Electrical Field Technician to head field teams in the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of MV electrical distribution systems across utility, industrial, commercial, renewable energy and mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior personnel, coordinating with customers and engineers, and ensuring safety compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E and LOTO during field activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years with medium voltage equipment and power distribution systems.
• Proven experience leading field service, commissioning, maintenance or testing projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, relay logic, schematics and protection diagrams.
• Strong NFPA 70E and LOTO safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams performing testing, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of MV equipment.
• Provide technical oversight to technicians during commissioning and maintenance.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of MV power systems.
• Service, inspect, test, and maintain switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, relays, substations, and distribution systems.
• Conduct acceptance, relay, insulation, transformer, breaker, and system diagnostics.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, project managers, subcontractors and utility personnel.
• Review schematics, relay settings, protection diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
• Prepare service reports and commissioning documentation.
