Job summary
Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Medium Voltage Switchgear & UPS Field Engineer to lead commissioning, startup, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency service of critical power systems at customer sites.
The role requires a strong technical background in medium-voltage electrical power systems (1kV+), switchgear, UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant electrical field service, commissioning, testing, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience with medium-voltage electrical systems rated 1kV or higher; 5kV–35kV experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of NEC/NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E and safety best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field commissioning, startup, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response for medium-voltage and critical-power systems.
- Commission and test medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protective devices, UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, STS systems, transformers, and related power distribution equipment.
- Develop, review, and execute detailed test procedures, commissioning plans, test scripts, and test reports.
