Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Field Engineer for medium‑voltage switchgear and UPS systems.

The role involves commissioning, startup, testing, and emergency service at customer sites, with home‑based work and regional travel in the Atlanta area and beyond. The successful candidate will demonstrate 3+ years in electrical field service, strong MV experience, UPS expertise, and a solid safety record, including NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical field service, commissioning, testing, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with medium-voltage systems rated 1kV+; 5kV–35kV experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with UPS and critical-power equipment including batteries, PDUs, STSs, and related gear.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field commissioning, startup, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
• Test and commission medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protective devices, UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, STS, transformers, and related equipment.
• Develop, review, and execute detailed test procedures, commissioning plans, test scripts, and test reports.
• Mentor field engineers and technicians, and oversee on-site testing activities.
• Interface with customers, OEMs, and project teams to resolve issues and ensure safety and compliance.
