Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking an experienced field service technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of low and medium voltage equipment in field and shop settings.

You will work with protective relays, switchgear, transformers, and test gear (Doble, Omicron, Megger, Fluke). A focus on safety, travel, and mentorship is required to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years electrical experience.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Experience testing low/medium voltage gear and relays.
• Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, start-up of electrical equipment.
• Coordinate projects onsite and in-house, manage documentation from order to invoice.
• Travel locally to nationally; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement.
