Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Medium Voltage Electrical Field Technician to lead field teams in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MV distribution systems on utility, industrial, and data center projects.

You will mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and project specs. The role requires hands-on field leadership, the ability to interpret electrical diagrams, and strong diagnostics capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with medium voltage equipment and power distribution systems.
• Proven experience leading field service, commissioning, maintenance, or testing projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, relay logic, schematics, and protection diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams performing testing, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of MV equipment.
• Provide technical oversight to technicians during commissioning and maintenance activities.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of MV power systems and distribution equipment.
• Coordinate field activities with customers, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and utility personnel.
• Review schematics, single-line diagrams, relay settings, and commissioning procedures to ensure correct execution.
• Prepare service reports, commissioning docs, test results, and project closeout packages.
