Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled scientist to join the Multispecifics Engineering group in Discovery Biotherapeutics. You will drive engineering, production, and characterization of multispecific biologics across projects, and serve as a Biologics Lead on key initiatives.

The role requires extensive experience in biologics and multispecifics design, plus strong project management and collaboration across Therapeutic Areas, Discovery Biotherapeutics, and Development Sciences.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 6+ years (PhD) or 12+ years (MS) in multispecific or antibody engineering.
• Experience with design, expression, and purification of proteins, biologics, or multispecifics.
• In-depth knowledge of multispecific landscape and therapeutic areas such as immunology, oncology and neuroscience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and produce multispecific biologics for multiple therapeutic areas.
• Provide project updates and recommendations as the Multispecifics Engineering SME on cross-functional teams.
• Lead Biologics on 1–2 projects, manage molecule activities with TA Lead, and ensure timely transitions.
• Identify and solve technical problems; conceive and implement innovative ideas.
• Ensure consistency and quality of technical reports; present work internally and externally.
