Job summary

JPI is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for Garden, Walkup, Affordable, and Wrap projects in the Los Angeles area. You will lead field teams, ensure safety, schedule adherence, quality, and budget alignment, and coordinate with PMs and officials.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in construction or related field, OSHA 30 HR (within 90 days), 4–6 years of multi-family construction experience, and strong PC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 HR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 4–6 years of construction experience; multi-family supervisory experience preferred.
• PC proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Act as representative and advocate of JPI’s Culture and Guiding Principles.
• Develop and maintain a TEAM culture on the project site.
• Communicate clearly with project team members and maintain documentation.
• Assist PM with OAC meetings and report issues with cost/schedule implications.
• Ensure safety, scheduling, quality control, and code compliance on-site.
• Develop and implement a plan for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain and communicate the jobsite schedule with the field team.
• Conduct weekly look-ahead meetings covering safety, quality, coordination, and submittals.
• Review plans pre-vertical construction for compliance and constructability; document deviations via RFIs.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, and coordination items; manage workload delegation.
