Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior motor control engineer to design and implement advanced motor control algorithms (FOC, six-step) for BLDC/PMSM systems, and to lead MIL/SIL/HIL validation with real-time simulators.

You will develop firmware in C for Cortex MCUs, integrate with CAN/SPI/UART, and work across hardware platforms. U.S. Person status required; salary range listed; equity and top-tier benefits offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
10+ years of professional experience designing and implementing motor control algorithms for BLDC or PMSM motors.
Strong foundation in classical and modern control theory; PID tuning and state estimation.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, and auto-code generation (Embedded Coder).
Deep experience writing production-quality embedded code on microcontrollers with hard real-time motor control loops.

Responsibilities

Motor Control Algorithm Development: design and implement FOC, six-step, and direct torque control for BLDC/PMSM motors.
Modelling & Simulation: build high-fidelity motor and inverter models; MIL/SIL validation; real-time SIL testing.
Firmware & Embedded Systems: develop C firmware on STM32/TI C2000/NXP S32K with deterministic control loops.
HIL & RTOS Integration: integrate with real-time simulators (dSPACE/Typhoon HIL) and RTOS peripherals.
