Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Motor Controls Engineer, Electrical for its Costa Mesa HQ. You will work on core product development for complex systems including optical, battery, and sensor domains. High ownership, collaboration, and leadership opportunities are featured.

Candidate should have hands-on prototyping experience, PCB/ECAD skills, and a strong foundation in control systems, embedded hardware, and first principles analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience on immersive technical projects, collegiate or professional.
• Demonstrated leadership in teams or projects.
• 3+ years electrical/design experience in a professional setting.
• Experience with PCB design and ECAD tools (Altium, KiCAD, etc.).
• Hands-on prototyping including soldering and harnessing.
• Familiarity with motor/servo drive systems and control design.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams with first principles thinking.
• Strong organizational skills and security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across fields.
• Identify industry partners and manage early vendor relations.
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis.
• Design, implement and test complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Lead design reviews, run analyses, and plan hardware tests.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition to production.
• Support hardware demonstrations with customers; travel as needed.
