Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior Motor Control Engineer to design and implement high-performance control algorithms for BLDC and PMSM motors, with a focus on field-oriented control, sensorless estimation, and robust real-time execution.

You will model and simulate in MATLAB/Simulink, perform MIL/SIL/HIL validation with real-time targets, and develop firmware in C for microcontrollers, ensuring deterministic timing and safe-state behavior in demanding applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing motor control algorithms for BLDC or PMSM.
• Strong background in PID tuning and state estimation.
• Experience with hard real-time motor control loops on microcontrollers.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and code generation workflows.
• Proven HIL integration with real-time simulators (dSPACE, Typhoon HIL).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FOC, six-step, and direct torque control for motors.
• Build MIL/SIL/HIL models in MATLAB/Simulink and validate against specs.
• Develop firmware in C for microcontrollers with deterministic timing.
• Integrate motor control algorithms into RTOS and peripheral drivers.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop validation and sensorless estimation techniques.
