Job summary
Anduril Industries is seeking a senior motor control engineer to design FOC and six-step control for BLDC/PMSM motors, validate with MIL/SIL/HIL, and integrate firmware on real-time hardware. This role requires deep embedded C experience and a strong background in control theory, with secure access to export-controlled data.
You will work within the Hardware Platform Organization on cross-functional teams, delivering robust motor control solutions and real-time validation across development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 8+ years designing and implementing motor control algorithms for BLDC/PMSM.
- Strong foundation in classical/modern control theory and PID tuning.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement field-oriented control (FOC) for BLDC and PMSM motors.
- Develop sensorless rotor position estimation techniques for non Hall/encoder apps.
- Create robust current, speed, and position control loops with stability margins.
- Build high-fidelity motor models in MATLAB/Simulink for MIL/SIL/HIL.
- Validate with MIL/SIL/Hardware-in-the-Loop using real-time simulators.
- Integrate generated code with RTOS, drivers, and application framework.
- Develop firmware in C on microcontrollers with hard real-time constraints.
